Foliar Application:
To achieve best results with vivast™ FX always apply at the recommended optimal rates. Spray top and underside of the foliage.
Soil Application:
Application of vivast™ FX should be applied or injected into the irrigation system towards the end of watering.
It is necessary to use enough water to carry the vivast™ FX into top 20cm of the soil profile.
Seedlings:
Apply 5ml/Lt water approximately 5 days prior to emergence.
On emergence seedlings should be sprayed with vivast™ FX at 5ml/Lt water twice weekly for 2 weeks and then as often as necessary.

For best results use pH neutral (pH 6.9 to 7.0) mix water. Follow specific crop instructions for dilution rates and application usage. Do not apply within three days of harvesting.

vivast™ exhibits a variety of antimicrobial activities. vivast™ has a special manufacturing process and advanced polymerization technology to be highly effective than the regular active ingredient. This has been proved in various field trials and farmers have seen it on their field. vivast™ has been reported to have a better antifungal activity.
vivast™ is been used as to control disease or reduce their spread, to chelate nutrients and minerals preventing pathogens from accessing them to enhance plant innate defenses, in both monocotyledons and dicotyledons. The defence mechanism is induced by lignification, ion influx variations, cytoplasmic acidification, membrane depolarization and protein phosphorylation and expression of unique early responsive and defense-related genes.
vivast™ in cucumber efficiently reduces susceptibility to downy mildew caused by P. cubensin a way similar to a standard fungicide. Applications of vivast™ is most effective in this concern. Application of vivast™ showed significant increase in cucumber growth parameters attributed to increased ion uptake, cell elongation, cell division, enzymatic activation and protein synthesis also elicit the resistance against pathogens, by activating the genes. vivast™ is also effective in controlling Pythium root rot of cucumber when amended with soil along with other micronutrients.
vivast™ application in rice by seed soaking before planting followed by soil application for four times throughout cropping season tended to stimulate growth and significantly increased rice yield. On the other hand, seed soaking before planting followed by foliar application tended to generate an ability in disease control.
vivast™ formulation induces downy mildew disease resistance and growth promotion in pearl millet. Soaking the seed for 6 hours have the maximum germination and high seedling vigor. Seed treatment and foliar application have shown 70% control and reduction on the downy mildew severity. Also this has promoted the growth of the plant and increased the yield and also protected the plant from other disease by building up the resistance mechanism.

Post-harvest: Preferred option to stay healthy
The consumer market sets high expectations for food coating substances which are analyzed in view of their health implica¬tions and antibacterial properties. vivast™ has a number of health ben¬efits – it is an effective antioxidant capable of retaining vitamin C in fruit and vegetables, and it has bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties. In order to control post-harvest diseases, addition of vivast™ stimulated microbial degradation of the pathogens in a way resembling the application of hyper-parasite. This application is important because it suggests the alternatives of the use of pesticides on fresh fruit storage.
Coating tomatoes with vivast™ have shown to delay ripening by modifying the internal atmosphere, which reduced decays due to pathogens. We have been working on new applications in the post harvest usage and the results are promising.
